Class Descriptions

GROUP CROSSFIT WORKOUTS
Our CrossFit Group Workout of the Day classes (Also known as WODs) are designed to meet the needs of our varied training community that includes individuals of all athletic backgrounds. Members are led by our coaches and include: mobility drills to improve joint mobility and function, skill-based warm-up session to prepare the body for the workout, workout of the day which will include a strength session and/or a combination of gymnastics, running, jumping, power lifting, kettlebells, and olympic weightlifting, followed by post-workout recovery techniques. Group sessions are one hour long.

CROSSFIT ON-RAMP
All new members start with our “On Ramp” foundation classes. It’s designed to introduce you to the CrossFit methodology, the core CrossFit movements, and the intensity of the workouts. Our On-Ramp program is a learning experience, not a gut check. You can’t “fail” the On Ramp. After you complete the multi-day course, you’ll be ready to jump into any of our daily group classes and start moving safely, efficiently, and effectively.

JEDI GYMNASTICS
The mission objective of the Jedi Academy is to continue the progress towards mastery of bodyweight movements in CrossFit. Warm ups are designed to be a fun and challenging way to improve core strength, stability and mobility and prepare you for the mission for the day. We will break down complex skills into simple progressions to work on the strength, positioning and timing needed to master the skill. The end of class always has a challenge to get your heart racing and test your limits.

OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING
Athletes can focus on strength building in several ways at CrossFit Body & Fuel. This Olympic Weightlifting class helps you get into the habit of forming the best positions and postures required to be effective and successful at all lift levels. You will learn how to harness your strength using movement and proper technique to move weight more effectively.

BONES AND MOBILITY (B.A.M.)
Muscles attach to bones. If you can’t move your bones, the force your body takes on by gravity (Or a heavy barbell!) is improperly spread out across your muscles. This leads to pain. In B.A.M., athletes will learn how to keep certain bones stable, while moving others. Cues from both the Egoscue Method and Mobility WOD will come into play to help free your body from daily pain, WOD soreness, and overall weakness.

MOVEMENT MATTERS SESSIONS
These sessions are not included in CFBF packages, and can be purchased for an additional cost.
How you move, matters. Knowing how to move, matters. Preparing your body to move, matters. Knowing how to prepare your body for movement, matters. We can help athletes achieve these statements, through 1-hour sessions spent on preparing/repairing your body for the upcoming week/tasks/movements. If you’re struggling with specific pain, a movement or lift, or general malaise, we can help.
